Will there be room for everybody?
Following the success of last year’s edition of the 4 hours classics, we can expect to have to refuse participants for the third edition of this event, to be held at 29-30 and 1st July 2012.
For this kind of event, the track of Spa-Francorchamps can host up to 70 teams ! So we don’t need to point out to the candidates that they shouldn’t wait too long to register in order not to have to attend the event as a spectator !
We like to point out again that the 4 Hours of Spa Classic are reserved to teams of 2 riders, riding just one motorcycle that was constructed before the 31 December 1981; The start is held in Le Mans style, whilst the grid is defined by the average lap time of both riders. Pressurized fueling in the pits is forbidden, while a single rider can’t race for more then 2/3rd of the distance and the number of mechanics is limited to 4.
In other words, we find all the same ingredients again that have fed the legends and multiple stories on this kind of long distance racing…
That is even without talking about the bikes, amongst which the Martin’s, D’Holda’s, Honda’s, Kawasaki’s and other Yamaha OW31’s will boulder out of the Source and attack the Raidillon like in the good old days !
Medical Certificate
The riders who are taking part for the first time in a race don't need a medical certificate
